Strengthening Tourism Links
This roadshow aims to strengthen the connections between Tanzanian tourism providers and the UK market. The Minister for Tourism and Heritage has highlighted Zanzibar’s versatility in catering to various budgets, making it an attractive destination for all types of travelers—from backpackers to luxury seekers.
Additionally, Zanzibar is enhancing its tourism offerings beyond its famous beaches. Initiatives include promoting heritage tourism and adventure sports like kitesurfing. The government is also focusing on improving regional connectivity through new chartered flights from various locations, which is expected to boost visitor numbers further.
The March 2025 roadshow presents a significant opportunity for event and meeting planners interested in Africa to explore the rich tourism potential of Zanzibar and the coastal regions of Tanzania.
By participating in this event, planners can gain valuable insights into the diverse offerings available and foster partnerships that could enhance their future travel itineraries. As Africa’s events industry continues to grow, this roadshow exemplifies the commitment to showcasing the continent’s unique attractions to a global audience.
