Starting December 7th, 2024, Airlink is resuming its seasonal Saturday flights. This runs until March 29th, 2025. They’re also doing a Tuesday Johannesburg-St Helena flight throughout the summer.
Remember those five-day boat trips from Cape Town?
Yeah, those are SO over. Now you can get there in six hours (with a quick refuel in Walvis Bay).
Airlink CEO, Rodger Foster, says St. Helena is awesome – unspoiled, adventurous, and historic. He’s stoked to be flying there.
These flights aren’t just for tourists; they’re a lifeline for St. Helena’s residents. Matt Joshua, the island’s tourism head, says the Cape Town connection is key, bringing in visitors from the UK, Europe, and beyond. St. Helena’s unique charm is a big draw.
So, more flights mean more tourism and easier access to this amazing, remote island.
