Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic Remote Content Manager to join our team. As the Content Manager, you will be responsible for planning, creating, and managing high-quality content for our platform. This role requires a proactive individual who is passionate about the meetings industry in Africa and can work independently in a remote setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Content Planning and Strategy: Outline and prioritize content topics based on industry trends and audience interests.
  • Research: Conduct in-depth research on event technologies, industry trends, and competitor analysis.
  • Networking: Source and reach out to event professionals for interviews, case studies, and collaboration opportunities.
  • SEO Optimization: Conduct keyword research and optimize content for search engines to increase organic traffic.
  • Content Creation and Editing: Write engaging articles, blog posts, and case studies, and edit content for clarity and accuracy.
  • Social Media Management: Plan and schedule social media posts to promote content and engage with our audience.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Monitor content performance metrics, analyze data, and adjust content strategies accordingly.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with design, marketing, and sales teams to align content with overall business objectives.
  • Weekly Meetings: Participate in weekly meetings with the manager to review performance, discuss challenges, and set goals.

Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as a Content Manager, Editor, or similar role.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong knowledge of SEO and content marketing strategies.
  • Experience with social media management and content promotion.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or relevant field.
